| Painfully slow to use again. Media content seems particularly slow to load. Is there any support here now, or should we backup our blogs and call it a day? |

| Same problem on my end, reminds me of stopping my 1/2 hr down and slow on my server this week from brute force attack with wordpress on wp-login.php file that has been getting hit net wide everywhere. |

Hm, could be something from the ISPs down the line.. i just checked again the server monitor and there's no load at all, nor any spiked logged. From here and few of my VPSes all works fast enough as usual

| Slow again tonight, media content taking a long while to load. Nothing wrong with my connection. Fine on other sites. A speed check to a server in NY gives over 33 Mbps, so no problem getting across the Atlantic. |

Today some of you might have noticed alot of lag and bad performance, but it was all for good!
During this weekend i started very detailed inspection of all 5 blog hosts and i managed to fix everything today.
- I upgraded servers so now they are even more powerful
- I found and banned lots of abusers of the system, which include:
there were few users having blogs with over 80k posts
there were users with over 100k comments
there were users posting new posts every minute
there were users having a post associated with like 1000 tags
...
..
you catch the idea..
Once i banned these abusers and deleted all their data, the servers now can't even feel any load and everything loads lightening fast as it should be.
I developed brand new monitoring system for such abusers which will make sure there will be no more new people doing such stuff.
Thank you for the patience people, just you need to understand when you are dealing with such huge amount of users and blogs, it is really hard to identify who and how is heavy loading the whole system.
All should be lightening fast from now on!
