Hello,
I just downloaded and installed your script and the amount of features looks really impressive,I look forward to getting it going on some sites.

My question is about importing FHGs.I have a file with about 5k FHGs that I want to import. The format of the file is:
URL|Date|Description

Now, I searched everywhere in the script and in the docs and I did not find anything about importing files with gallery urls and descriptions and also if the script will accept that format or if it has to be URL,Description.

Thanks for the help!

Hello there,
thanks for being interested in the script.

Well you can add your galleries into "Static Galleries" when you have them with url+description.

Just go to "Static Galleries->Add" , you must provide the galleries with this format URL,DESCRIPTION.

Ah thats my problem, the file I have is in the format URL|Date|Description
And I cannot search and replace the | because some descriptions have "," (commas) in the.

Is there a way to insert this directly in to the database? Maybe with a PHP script? Would that cause any problems?
I took a look at the database structure and it has an ID field and some other things so I dont know if this can cause a problem.

Ok I just found a quick workaround and managed to import the galleries, but I am still wondering if there is a way to do this quicker using a PHP script so I can just have a huge file with URL|Description|Niche and insert it quickly, instead of having to add this one by one for every niche.

I think I can write this PHP myself but I have only one doubt with regards to the ID generated: Can the gallery ID be from 1 to X number? Because from looking at the DB structure the ID numbers seem to start from 5802 and go from there.

I think this feature would be good for future versions of So.A FHG file import system like the one on Comus.

well, there will be import system in SO in the near future. Thanks for your notice.

Now, the generated id is autoincrementing, so basically you can miss that field in your php script when making the query to the mysql..

Ah great! I`m really getting the hang of your script , I want to use it to run a bunch of unused domains I have.Make sure the import system can use all separators , like |

I`ll probably write a quick PHP script to import my FHG files for now.

Thanks for the help!
