Been doing some fine tuning of my SEO on one particular blog. I decided to take advantage of the theme's (Mantra) category pages option. I have always used the noindex setting for categories on the ALL in One SEO plugin to avoid duplicating content. This time I thought I'd use indexing and excerpts rather than full contents.
I set the Mantra option to excerpts on category pages, saved, cleared cache and reloaded but still the full posts show. I tried several times but no difference so I think something in the Wordpress or other settings is over-riding the theme but I can't find what it is.
Anybody else found this? |

hey there,
When installing the themes I have been hardcoding most of the themes to always show full post body, probably thats why you can't get this to work..
For adult excerpts don't work very well and i had lots of requests in the past to remove them and thats why i have been making that mod since then..

| Oh I see. I may as well just skip the special category pages then and keep the noindex on the standard category archiving. Thanks for your answer anyway. |
