Hi,
I'm using the oldest to newest plugin on one of my blogs with 1 day recycle setting. The plugin works fine and recycles an old post to the top each day, but for some reason the recycled post does show on the blog home page until I logon. I know the recycled post is there because if I go into the monthly archive it displays it, but not on the home page. Any ideas what is causing this and why logging on resolves it? Is is something to do with the cache? I've tried it from other computers to make sure it's not a local browser cache issue and the same problems occurs. The reason I ask is because it's not always possible for me to post or login every day, so the plugin is ideal, but if I go a few days without logging in and no updates are being display on the home page, it kind of defeats the point of the plugin a bit.
One other thing I have noticed, if I make changes to a sidebar widget and hit save, the change no longer gets applied to my blog automatically like it used to. I have to hit clear cache every time before the change is made to my blog. Any reason why this has changed? It was much easily when it updated straight away.
Can I just say that you have a great and easy to use free blog service here and I hope it stays around for a long time.

hi there,
i will take a look on the oldest to newest plugin..
As about the cache, yes it changed.. Before blog owners were browsing without cache which was causing unnecessary load, so i have removed that..

Ok thanks. There's an example of the problem at the moment on my blog.
If you go here - http://fhg.pornblogspace.com/2012/05 you can see that the O2N plugin has done its job and recycled the joymii post at 6.55am today (8th May), but if you then go to the home page http://fhg.pornblogspace.com the recycled post is not displayed. The first post shown is still yesterday's (7th May) Autumn Riley entry.

Yes it is today but it wasn't yesterday. I have has seen it go two or three days before without updating the homepage, even though the O2N plug has recycled posts in that time. It's not major but a bit annoying, especially if you go away for a bit and come back and find no updates on the home page.
Today's O2N post should get triggered in the next hour, so let's see if it happens again. |

| There we go today's recycled post of Sarah Peachez has been triggered and is displayed in the archive but not on the home page. If I was to logon and do a clear cache now, it would resolve it, so it must be something quirky with cache I guess. |

yep, its working fine from here, tried it from 3 different browser and 2 windows vps servers i have.. Maybe it is your ISP having a cache or something..

| Thanks. Yeah it must be an ISP cache or something, I can't think what else it could be. Anyway it's updated for me too now as well. Yay! |
