I like that theme and it seems to be SEO'd pretty well, but there are a couple links on the top of it that go to the "about" and "archives" pages, however those pages don't exist in the dashboard so they are going 404.
Would it be possible to get them removed, or am I better off to create the pages and build something there so that there is no 404 error?

yeah, you are right. Ofcourse you aren't supposed to create those pages. I will edit the theme tomorrow morning and will remove them.
