Hey all! See a few familiar faces (err text names) here..looking good so far and I'm a fan of Kaktusan so hope it works out.
My question for today is about RSS feeds. I've been using Gallery Scraper on some of my blogs, although messing around here just today I haven't seen anyway to utilize it here...I might be missing something 'cause I just started but would think you would have a way to use your own programs on your host right?
I can use LiveWritter to post, but sometimes Gallery Scraper is easier for doing a few at a time.

hi there,
well all my scripts can work with the blogging service. So if you have a copy of my script on your server you can use.
When you have GS either you can use the default WP tool to import rss feeds into it from "Tools->Import"
or simply use BA/BO or any other software that reads rss feeds like the ones GS produces and auto publish the posts to your blogs on the free hosted service..

| Sorry, still don't get it. If I go to "tools>import" the only thing I can see there is a link for RSS, which says it will import posts from an RSS2 feed, but when I click it, it asks me which file "from my computer" to upload. It won't let me put in an RSS URL such as I need for Gallery Scraper. |

um, yes..sorry i forgot about that..
well, simply open the GS feed in your browser, save it on your pc and upload..
or simply use any rss to blog tool to automate the process..
i will be looking these days at any of the available WP plugins for automatically reading rss feeds and publishing them as posts. But not quite sure if i will enable any of them, because i know they are all resource hogs and i might end up coding custom one. That will take me more time though..
