Nice script that gallery scraper. But I won't be buying it just yet, because there needs to be some way of choosing which pictures are selected from the gallery. for example; I have an ass blog and GS always picks the face shots or full hardcore, the pic of the ass shots are skipped. Random pics of a gallery are not much good. Will keep my eyes peeled for updates in this area, otherwise nice script....

| I'm always amazed at how well smart thumbs picks pictures or makes thumbs. I try to make thumbs manually some times and a lot of times smart thumbs does it better than I can do it manually. It would be awsome if GS made thumbs in a similar or just as effective way. |

well, it is like that because probably they did really a lot of play with the thumbnail selection and cropping algorithms. It is really a lot of tests and tries, because of the different algos that can be used, because of the different types of galleries, pics and etc.. and all that depends on the years of being working with it. It can't be done at once, but is done bit by bit, just improve and improve and it takes years as ST is on the market while GS is almost year old.
And finally, yeah i am always improving and working on that area, but as i explained it is really slow process to get it to a state of the art level.

I want to amend or clarify my original post. I think that gallery scraper is a excellent program, but requires one small addition, instead of random selection of thumb for post. User selected thumb, for processing to posts. (Somehow a list of all available thumbs on the gallery for selection, doesn't need to be thumbs, just the image name.)
Other than that galleryscraper does a fine job of cropping, resizing and placing in the posts.
Just wanted to add this so peeps don't thing I am complaning about the program..
