Hi Kaktus
I've just put some static galleries in a template, and tried to call them from this page
http://www.gushinggirlfriends.com/anp/index.php
which contains this code
<img src="http://www.gushinggirlfriends.com/so/soin.php?referer=<? echo rawurlencode($HTTP_REFERER)?>" border=0 width=0 height=0>
<?php @require_once "http://www.gushinggirlfriends.com/so/sohtml/anp.php"?>
but nothing is visible!
I was wondering if there was something which my host doesn't allow.
By the way, hope your exams are going OK! |

hey there,
thanks, yeah i did great on my exams and they are past now..
About your problem now:
When i look at your template file at : http://www.gushinggirlfriends.com/so/sohtml/anp.php
i see it is okay, since the links show there..
Now when i try to open the file from where you call the template:
http://www.gushinggirlfriends.com/anp/index.php
my browser keeps loading and nothing..just loading and dies..
Can you please ask your host, whether they have the php remote file open
settings turned on. Also provide them the url with your problemable page:
http://www.gushinggirlfriends.com/anp/index.php
I suppose they have turned off the remote file opening, and a curl is needed to call your templates.
Let me know with some update.. |

hi kaktus
here's the reply from my host:
"...I have just spent some time discussing with our admin regarding your issue. He informed me that it would be much better if you included the files via the PHP include() function.
When doing that you will also save bandwidth as http calls take a bit of transfer.
Please re-open this ticket if it is for some reason not posible for you just to include files...."
I don't know what they mean so I wait for some suggestions from you!!
Thanks |

yeah nice reply lol
require_once and include() are the same, just require_once does not let your page to be displayed, if the for inclusion file is not included properly. It has nothing to do with bandwidth or whatever..
Ok anyways try with include(), just replace require once with include "yourfile";
but i am pretty convinced that won't fix the things..
let me know what happened.. |

I changed to a relative path and it worked OK on the same domain as the script
<? include("so/sohtml/anp.php") ?>
but the absolute path DIDN'T work from another domain
<? include("http://www.gushinggirlfriends.com/so/sohtml/anp.php") ?>
At the moment I'm not thinking about linking to the pages from another domain, but it would be nice if it was possible!
Any ideas? |

hey there,
when the internal linking works, but the absolute does not work, it means you host have denied remote file opening as i said the first time.. I can't help you there, since its from your host settings.. |
