Hi there, thanks for giving the script a try.
The script mainly works as rotator and as for now it doesn't have ability to show "newest" galleries, as you need.
As about the thumb and descr galleries, you can add them under thumb galleries along with their descr, which you can use for alt text. Also you can add them under static galleries to show them with just description.
