Hi Katusan,

I'm trying out the gallery scraper and it works quite well - however, I'm having issues with rss feed templates. The one below works just fine:

Code:
<p><a href="my galler link" target="_blank"><img src="{PIC_150x200}" border="0"></a> &nbsp; <a href="my gallery link" target="_blank"><img src="{PIC_150x200}" border="0"></a></p>
<p>{GAL_LDESCR}</p>

However, as soon as I update the pic sizes to lets say 200x250, the thumbs are no longer created. When I look at the feed source, it just says:

Code:
<img src="{PIC_200x250}" border="0">

Is there anything I'm doing wrong?

Also, on a related note, how should I insert a space between images? Using &nbsp; as in the example above puts a question mark between the images.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Comrade

hi there, glad you are doing fine with the script Smile

well, take a note that when building entry for the feed the script creates the thumbs with the defined in the template and it remembers those sizes. So if you change the thumbs sizes in the template and just "rebuild" the feed, the script will not output those images in those entries since the old sizes are different. So basically its good once you setup your template to work only same thumb sizes for that feed. If for some reason you want to change thumbs, you will need to delete your generated already entries for that feed.

After you change the thumbs for a template, only new generated entries will work fine, because the script already knows it should build thumbs with the new size, so after you change the thumbs sizes if you hit "update" on the feed to add new entry it will make thumbs in new size..

As about the space, it should work normally, i am going to check that out now..

i just did a test about the spacing with &nbsp; and it really was problemable. I fixed it and issued a fix. Please download again the install package from the sites, unpack and on your server replace just file "functions.inc.php" and nothing else. Don't forget to upload in BINARY mode. Once you do this, rebuild your feed and let me know if its fine Smile

hey kaktus - i just upgraded to a paid version so I needed to download the files and install from scratch. Did all that but unfortunately, the problem still exists. Let me know if you'd like me to pm you the url of the blog to look at it.

As far as the template issue - thats fixed and works like magic now.

Cheers,
Comrade

hi there, thanks for purchasing!

well, you didn't need to do a fresh install, but just put your license key in the Settings section..

the problem I'm having is the one with the ?? marks between pictures... I might be doing something wrong but they still show up - although I do see other people who aren't having the same problem.

would you like me to pm you the feed and blog urls?
