Here is the situation..
I'm at the 'create thumbnails for new entry' page and click on the blank thumb, which takes me to the cropping page with all the thumbs at the bottom. I select a pic, adjust the window, click on 'Crop Image' and am taken back to the previous page. And here is the problem: the thumb I cropped doesn't appear on this page. Instead there is a 0px image placeholder where the thumb should be.
After all this, a message appears on the home page saying there's a pic in the temp folder, and to click to delete it.
Image Magick and GD library is installed on the server, and GS can crop and resize pics automatically just fine using the auto rss feed.
What may be the cause of this? |

its your browser. When you are able to select images and crop, but only the image doesn't show up on the page before, thats handled by javascript. Make sure your browser is with java enabled..

java and javascript are both enabled in firefox. I was using an older version of FF and upgraded to 3.5.3 just now. Problem continues.
I am unable to test this with IE8 because on the cropping page I get a message saying 'This tool requires Flash 6', which is strange because adobe flash player is now on version 10 and I have the latest version installed... |

hmm, pm me url and pass to your GS admin to take a look..
btw when you installed GS for first time? I now remember some had this problem last month or even earlier and i was making some fix, so you might still be with the old stuff..
