I would like to know if there is a way to hide or cloak the url when using the script on another domain?

For example if the script is installed and running on domain1.com and setup another site, say domain2.com .. then visitors to domain2.com will see that the urls are coming from domain1.com .. I dont like that. I want it to look like the links are on the site they are visiting.

Suggestions?

Thanks,
Terry

Huh, you reminded me what i forgot to do in the upgrade i just made.

Currently, its not possible to cloak the urls in any way. I will get that done soon for the next script update.

Thanks!

sorry for bumping an old thread, but is this still in the works? I see you have done an awesome job in BO with URL cloaking, I hope the same will happen with SO.

cheers,
Luke

I just have this at the top of the page - is this what you mean? It keeps the status bar clear.

Code:
<script>

//Hide status bar msg II script- by javascriptkit.com
//Visit JavaScript Kit (http://javascriptkit.com) for script
//Credit must stay intact for use

function hidestatus(){
window.status=''
return true
}

if (document.layers)
document.captureEvents(Event.MOUSEOVER | Event.MOUSEOUT)

document.onmouseover=hidestatus
document.onmouseout=hidestatus
</script>

Thanks, kaktus.

bowerybay, thats a good script to hide the URL, but what I would like to see is the URL showing up as the TGP domain URL, not the SO domain URL. This is done in BO already, its much better for SEO.

I see you are doing a nice job of upgrading BO & LO, any idea when the new SO with link cloaking will be available?
