Hello

I Installed the Site Organizer. It worked without any problems, I set the CHMOD's as required. Unfortunatelly, every link inside of the Admin Area leads back to index.php. What could that be, and how can I solve this problem?

Thanks for your answer

hi there,
well yes the whole admin area points to index.php since thats the script that does all the stuff, but it should display different pages when you click on the admin controls. If it everytime leads to the main page when you click, it is because of login authentication problem. Looks like either you have some firewall on your pc so that script can't send you a cookie and start a session, or there is some wrong configuration at your server about the php sessions.

I changed the CHMOD's, and reinstalled the whole SO. And on the page, where you put in all the database names, PW etc. there were a lot of red marks, which haven't been there the last time I installed it. All serversided problems. So I am changing the host right now, and looking forward to a working SO by next week. If not, i'll come back to the forum.

Thanks anyway.

huh, i see.

Well, yes, when there are red marks, then your server configuration has been changed and a lot changed!

Thats what i can't understand with hosts is, how they could go and change stuff on servers without notifying their users they did so..

Anyways, good luck picking up good host and keep me posted on any problems.

Yep, now, new host, Everything Okay, but still, everytime I click anything inside the admin-area, I am leaded back to the login, and after that to the admin-index page.

What can I do???
I tried Comus, but I think, I can get more out of the Siteorganizer, so I need some help to get it running.

Sorry for bothering you again.

Tried to pm you (twice), message is still in Outbox, guess it has not been sent yet. Can you maybe pm me a (valid) e-mail-adress, where I can send you the URL and Password.

Thanks

okay, found your problem, just when i looked at the login page Smile

There are files missing or corrupted.

Reupload all files from "templates" directory of the script package.

If yet problemable, let me know..

Done. Reloaded all files, but it still won't work. Maybe I don't have all files from the downloaded version?! I'll download the script again, and I'll compare it.

It works now; I changed all CHMOD's in the files in templates - directory to 755.

If there are some files, which need to have other CHMOD's within this directory, please tell me!

um, well on certain server setups the files need those permissions to be able to executed. Thats not a requirement of the script, but on your system, so thats why i am not putting it in the script docs, coz its pretty rarely needed.

You need all .php in the main script directory to those permissions, and everything inside the templates directory.

No matter what I click, I am taken back to the admin login screen, I log in, click on something, then asks for login again
