Hello,
our webspace was just suspended.
Hoster says, that our SO Script needs 98 percent CPU Power.
We have a very small TGP with 100 Visitors and ca 500 Gallery Hits/day.
Is it possible, that SO (in this case the index.php) needs so much CPU Power or is it a misconfiguration of the webspace ?

i have clients having over 400+ TGPs with lots of traffic on each of them and don't have problems at all. It is just not realistic the script to cause such load on TGP like yours just with 500 hits a day..
There must be something misconfigured or problemable there.. Can they see exactly what load makes the index.php? which index.php exactly? is the load all day or happens in certain hours? how long the load lasts ?

I also think, that this was not realistic.
It was the index.php in the admin area and they sent me a screenshot that shows a cpu usage of 98,2 percent !
Hoster doesīnt care about the realy cause.
They say, here is a repeatedly overload, so you are banned.
Itīs my presumption, that there was a misconfiguration of the zend optimizer and/or the php.ini file.
But it doesīnt matter, we are now looking for a better hoster, who make not so many problems. |

well, when they don't care about the problem and don't look to help you out by giving you some more details and retain you as customer, then you should really move to another host...
