Thanks PM Sent Kaktus.
It is probably something simple but I am a bit stumped.
Script installed fine, no problems.
Keep getting blank output page but tried the two different kinds of ways you can produce an index page (curl etc). Everything uploaded in binary where necessary.
I can get the template to show using the http://www.****.com/so/sohtml method so it doesn't appear to be a permissions problem.
Usually I am pretty good at solving these problems but I don't have a scooby this time round.
Any help you can offer would be appreciated. Cheers

it was the normal issue, that remote php includes are disabled on your server and you need to use the CURL version of the linking code
