I am sorry to see you have an ill family member - hope they recover quickly!
I am having a problem with static galleries. When I try to use them on my site I only get text output and not a link.
The site is http://www.galleries-of-sex.com/
I have up to now only listed free sites provided by sponsors and since most don't include all of the fields required when adding free sites I need to change to static galleries.
I used:
%%DESCRIPTION%%
for the link format
and
%%galleries,static,1-10,anal%%
for template content

the problem is that you filled incorrect stuff in the "link format". leave it by default blank and problem will be removed. you need to use the link format field only if you want to customize the way the links are printed. currently you placed only %%description%% and it prints just the description as you say.
