hello,
I'm getting tired waiting for several seconds for the script to catch another image.
Right now I'm importing new galleries in database and it takes HOURS of job because always the same thumb is displayed....
refresh, refresh, refresh, refresh, refresh.... hours and hours spent refreshing a page that displays always the same thumbnail, and most of the times the thumb is part of the gallery graphics.
I think the concept at the base of this thumbnailing system is completely wrong.
there is no way to choose which image to use from the gallery.
95% of the times you add new galleries, thumbz must be recropped, and refreshed and refreshed refreshed refreshed refreshed and so on....
I recently purchased another product that extracts thumbz from galleries as SO should do.
it NEVER misses a thumb.
thumbz are are always nice, perfectly cropped and I never imported a thumb of the gallery design. I imported 10,000 galleries without ANY problem in 4-5 hours of work.
doing the same job with SO could take from 1 to 2 weeks, if you're lucky.
kaktusan... I'm waiting for 2 months for the new SO, this is completely unuseful to me

Well, each time you click a "rethumbnail" the script should pick up random image from the gallery. I just tested and it works fine, picking another image each time. I don't see point it would pick same image for you each time from the software itself..it must have to do something with the server.. If you don't believe me, i will provide you login to my SO, to test it out by yourself..
About the thumbnailer system, I know it isn't perfect and that it has several things to fix and i am working on them. Actually i wrote totally new thumbnailing mechanism in one my other software and its currently being tested and works pretty good so far, with tons more features and possibilities and correct thumbnailing. When the testing ends and i am assured it all works properly it will be applied to SO.
I highly appreciate you purchased the software and supported me that way, but please don't make me feel bad because it has problems on certain parts. I always try to produce the best solution possible, but everyone knows perfect solution never can exist. I am always working on new things and trying to improve the software as much as possible, but that requires time for develop and good test, and I prefer to take little more time to create something really good, rather than hurrying and releasing something bad. And at all, thats why i have free version of the software, so anyone can try it out and if he likes it, he can proceede buying it..

well,
I've spent more than 200 bucks to purchase all the script and support you as well. I purchased also what I don't need, just to throw in more money in your pocket.
I hope to have this piece of software working good as soon as possibile.
I've got my main TGP site in hold for 2 months now and time is money |
