| Okay, I'm trying to set up this up and it is just not working because of Register Globals being turned off. I followed the suggestion in the previous dreamhost topic to create an .htaccess file with the command php_flag register_globals 1 in it. Is that all I need to put in that file? I have no idea what I'm doing and Dreamhost's support files are competely useless. Can you help me out? |

hello there,
yeah you should put just:
php_flag register_globals 1
in a .htaccess file and upload the file into your SO directory or in the root directory of the domain, and then look again in the install screen of SO..

I tried it on Dreamhost and it didn't work. So I went and installed everything on another host that I use and put the .htaccess file there and that fixed it immediately. So I guess I'll just use it on my other hosting account. Stupid Dreamhost!
